Ground floor, bright flat after renovation with new equipment and wifi. Walking distance to Archeological Museum /3 minutes on foot/ Santa Barbara Castle /10 minutes/, Postiguet Beach /12 minutes/, old historical town /15 minutes/. Quiet neigbourhood, very good local restaurant 50 m from the flat, very close to other affordable restaurants and shops Mercadona /5 minutes/. Nice patio inside the property. Here are some recommendations regarding sandy beaches, nearest spots and public transport. 1. Postiguet Beach - the nearest one, just 15 minutes on foot, not a small one but pretty nice, situated in the front of Santa Barbara Castle and few steps old town center. 2. San Juan Beach - the widest and longest /7 km/ a bit far from the flat but really worth visiting. Just take tram line 1 or 3 from underground Plaza del Dr. Mas Magro /7 minutes walk from the flat/ and get off on 7th stop /you will see the beach/. 3. With this tram /line 1 only/you can also get to Villa Joiosa - where you will find a very picturesque and colorful architecture and a nice beach too. Using the same line 1 /changing into line 9 in Benidorm/ yo can make a trip to Denia. It is about 90 km from Alicante
Hi, I am Marek, living between Poland and Spain. When I travel to Spain I live in the flat that I am offering on Booking so in fact it is my second home. I hope you will enjoy it.
RESTAURANTS. y You should try at least 2 of them where we and the locals go: 1. Bodegas Gambin - dinner wine&seafood restaurant just 50 meters from the flat /Calle Generale Elizaicin 23/ managed by nice Spanish couple /they are running it themselves/, she is a waitress and he is a kitchen chef. But you have to make a reservation as it is very busy and popular among locals /no tourist there yet/. Take a phone translator with you as they do not have English menu and do not speak English /well the chef does a bit but he is busy in the kitchen:)/. They are specializing in seafood and tapas, you definitely must order oil boiled shrimps and grilled octopus. Also try their local wines. Very good prices /all menu for 15 Euro/, single dishes from 6-12 euro. They also run a lunch restaurant attached to dinner one. 2. Lunch restaurant at the corner of Calle Ing. Canales and Calle Antonio Maura - it does not have a name and you will not find it in tourist guides. Run by all family, they specialize in local food and as Gambin above - no English there. Food very good and cheap - take the set menu for 9-10 Euros per person it is including starter, first and second course, desert
