"Mas Blanc" is a large Mediterranean house complete with garden and pool, and an organic vegetable garden. We have an apartment for guests in the basement, and this is the unit we offer for rent, as it has a private entry from the garden. Not air conditioning needed in summer. Ideally situated (next to Barcelona city) and very tranquil (in the middle of Collerola Natural Park), it is especially suited to couples or small families travelling by car (free parking space outside in the street or inside the property), who want to appreciate Barcelona and its surroundings but want to avoid staying in the city centre (easily accessible by public transport in 15 min.). "Baixador de Vallvidrera" metro station or "Les Planes" metro station are at 5 minutes by car from home. Relax in the peaceful setting of an expansive house with garden and pool, with luscious forest surroundings. And just a stone's throw away from famous Barcelona and Catalonia's popular beaches. Definitely for those enjoying the simple things in life. We have a very well behaved golden retriever female dog, called "Crema", who will visit you from time to time to say hello. She loves children and children love her.
I enjoy the simple things in life: potting flowers, working in the vegetable garden, making jams, rocking in the hammock, napping, listening to the birds and the water fountain sound, swimming in the pool or sea swimming, enjoying the sun and fresh air, walking my dog through the paths of Collserola, hiking mountains, step on fallen leaves, walking on the snow, a hot drink by the fireplace and... just start again!
We are in the middle of Collerola Natural Park, just between two very good Catalan restaurants: "El Mirador de Can Cases", with a nice terrace, and "Can Cortés", with a very cheap lunch menu. From home you have several paths to walk and hike through the woods of the Park (you can arrive to Tibidabo mountain and its amusement Park, Collserola Tower of communications, Collserola Park Information Center, Pantà de Vallvidrera Lake...). In the near, we have a corner chop (Cooperativa Santa Rosalía) who sells a bit of everything and with opens also Sunday mornings. And also Bar Talisman II, which can prepare excellent paellas and fideuas for take-away. We have a special Shuttle service for the neighbors from Monday to Friday with takes you to "Les Planes" metro station with the same metro ticket (so, for free). If you have a car, yo don,t need this service, and you can reach "Baixador de Vallvidrera" metro station in 5 minutes, parking there for free, and it takes you to Plaça Catalunya and Ramblas in only 15 minutes with a normal metro ticket of 1 zone.
