Myself and my wife Lesley met in Iznajar although Lesley has lived in Spain for more than 30 years and is the Director of a very successful company in the area. My first impression driving down the hill towards Iznajar and seeing the lake and the town for the very first time was "Wow" and I knew Iznajar was the place were I wanted to be. My wife Lesley and I enjoy to meet our guests upon arrival to hand over the keys, explain how the house works and then leave them to it. We want our guests to have a relaxing stay, if they need to contact us for anything we are always available.
Iznajar is a beautiful historical town situated in the southern corner of the Province of Cordoba, Andalucia. Surrounded by one of the largest man made lakes in Andalucia with a beach with water sports including canoeing and sailing. Fantastic walking area and a visit / guided tour to the 8th century castle is a most. Iznajar has many festivals throughout the year, Easter holy week, summer fiestas and lots more. If you are looking for a holiday away from the crowds then Iznajar is certainly a place to come. Great for families, spending the day on the lake with sail boats and kayaks for hire. Eating out in one of many of the local eateries from traditional style Spanish menu to international cooking. We have sampled most of the restaurants in the area and are happy to recommend. Near to Casa Las Majadillas is a olive oil co-operative which produces its own olive oil fresh off the press. It is closed from October to April but you can still buy the produce in the small shop on site. A day trip to Cordoba is definitely one to add to the list, and the Alhambra Place in Granada is also a special place. For the less energetic a lazy day around the pool is always inviting.
