The 18th Century Cortijo was reformed to a high standard less than 20 years ago by its present owners. From the first floor terrace a panoramic view of the Mediterranean and northern Morocco can be enjoyed. Enjoy sipping your pre dinner drinks in the shade of the garden/pool house overlooking the azure pool.
John and Henry had a dream (as many do) to live ‘the life’ under the Mediterranean sun. After spending 7 years looking for the ideal situation they came across an abandoned Cortijo which had the best of both worlds, a view of the mountains to the north and a spectacular vista of the Mediterranean coast. Having been in hospitality in England (both restaurants and hotels) they know how to make guest feel welcome. Eggs for breakfast come from the free range hens that wander around the garden. The dogs also free range, were abandoned but are now in a loving environment and mix with chickens. John and Henry host fund raising events for local animal charities.
Many restaurants/bars within 3 kilometres radius along the coast and 15 mins to the delightful Pueblo blanco of Casares. Situated in the Costa Del Golf close to Valderama and Finca Cortisin (home of the Volvo Masters) 25 mins by car is the rock of Gibraltar, which is where you can purchase all your duty frees and see the Barbary apes on the top of the rock.
