Hotel Nouvel

Pros: I love the rooms, so different and spacious l have been coming here for many years, so friendly, I would not stay anywhere else. Christina always makes us welcome. It's beautiful

Contras: I liked everything, only downside is no bar

Contras: Rooms outdated and lacked atmosphere. TV was very old with only a few channels.

Pros: LOCATION was the best. It’s near to everywhere but just be cautious and alert around your surrounding as you go out to La Rambla/Plaza Catalunya it can really be busy and you might get overwhelmed. So far nothing really happened. It was a very nice stay at this location. Overall experience was great, easy to get around and as you stay you get to be more familiar with roaming around the city. Bathroom was great!! Amazing hot and cold water system. Great feature with the drying metal railing for your wet clothes/towels. Great detail on that. Great bathtub system. Used it every night.

Contras: Staff were not really the friendliest, but maybe it was too busy for them. To be fair others were, but maybe some staffs are just really different towards asians. No refrigerator. For the rate that I’ve paid I was expecting for one. Locker safe was not useful. Did not used it at all. It was hard to get it set up since it has to match with your key card. And somehow it just did not worked. No kettle inside the room but hot or cold water are provided downstairs. Tried to request for a better view but the receptionist told me that it was fully booked for the other wing. Understood. Cleaners somehow tried to hide your pairs of shoes under the bed. I am not really sure with the reason why, but it happened consistently. Air condition system gets too hot in the evening while you are sleeping. City tax was asked upon checking out and as a tourist you are not really expecting for this, so we ran out of cash. Totally did not mind paying as it’s just minimal but as I handed my credit card to the staff a shady attitude was thrown to us. Totally uncool to receive such treatment from someone who is in hospitality business. A lady who was taking her break on her desk asked me to wait for a good 8 minutes while she finishes her sandwich. I just want to borrow a cork screw opener. I just view this very unprofessional.
