Lavapiés is the trendy and most multicultural neighborhood of Madrid. There are many teathers and art galeries very close to the aparment, and also bars and very nice restaurants. There are 3 supermarkets: Carrefour, open 24x7, it's just 4 minutes walking. - Lidl (opened from 9AM to 11PM) and Mercadona (opened from 9AM to 9.30PM) are less than 5 minutes walking. There are also 3 cutural centers very cose: La Casa Encendida, Tabacalera and Circo Price

Contras: Noisy street and inconvenient key collection process for late arrival tenants(after 9pm). Curtains in the room were too see-through, unable to block the sunlight. Property owner was helpful and very nice, and responded messages fast. Convenient location and good apartment conditions. Overall we were satisfied with the living experience.

Pros: Great location, with in walking distance of all the major sights of Madrid. Excellent bars and restaurants in the local neighborhood. Lavapies metro station 3 minutes walk away and Madrid's main railway station Atocha only 10 minutes walk at most. Excellent apartment, it had everything you need or want when on holiday. Julio was a great host and we were let in and shown around the apartment by a lovely lady called Doina. All in all a great experience and we hope to return in the near future.

Contras: It’s a lovely one way street outside the apartment. You know the traffic can be troublesome.
