Pension Santa Clara is a funky little one star guesthouse in the heart of San Sebastian. It is small and simple, but we try to make it more interesting every day by adding art and conveniences. San Sebastian is a city to enjoy day and night outside in the streets, bars and beaches. We offer good sleeping and showering facilities and not much more than that, so you can enjoy the city to the max. Every room has a mini fridge and television, but hardly anybody uses these as you are in the food capital of the world with the most astonishing views. We make our guesthouse the way we like to travel. Comfortable and affordable.
We are located in a relatively quiet street in the Historical Center (Parte Vieja) of Donostia-San Sebastián. This 200 year old center is attractively situated between the famous beaches La Kontxa and Zurriola. The centre is a pedestrian zone but the bus station, train stations, harbor and beaches are all within 10-20 minutes walking distance. Our lively neighborhood offers the famous Pintxo bars and restaurants as well as the fresh Bretxa food market, Congress Palace, San Telmo Museum and local shops. Regular fiestas and local celebrations include: 21st December; Santo Tomas day, dressed in traditional costumes, everybody joins in to try the rich products of the earth, such as Txistorra and Cider. 20th January; day of San Sebastián, a 24 hour drumming party, which is very emotional exciting for the 'Donostiarras' the Basque locals February; Boiler Party, usually a week before the Carnival, which is big too. January to April is Cider Season. Sidrerías. Bucketlist this people! July Jazz Festival, August Big Week (firework competitions!) Rowing Regattas, International Film Festival, Gastronomy Week Etc. We are right in the heart of it all!
