Beautiful studio apartment, in the heart of the old town, with well equipped kitchen, en suite shower room, sitting area with dining table, and desk (good broadband). . El estudio blends an open plan design with traditional Andalusian features such as 19th century hand painted tiles, terracotta floors and stylish Moroccan touches. It is composed of a lounge/dining room with wood stove, sofa, armchair, desk and books, table and chairs. A romantic alcove offers a comfy full double bed.

I’m a civil servant living in London. I’m married to a doctor and have boy and girl twins aged 19. We've stayed in quite a few Airbnbs as a family and have enjoyed staying in local houses, have liked the extra space they give you and being able to cook etc. I'm now renting my own house in Jimena de la Frontera which I have taken over recently from Christine, a superhost for many years. She has lovingly restored the house and has exquisite taste. There'll be very few changes so if you've visited before, please do come back or recommend the house to your friends. It's beautiful. Our cleaner will meet you on arrival and show you around the studio. To comply with local laws, we'll ask you to present identification guests above 16 years old. Late arrivals are possible if organised ahead of time. For arrivals after 21:00, we'll ask you to pay a 20 Euros tip to the person who comes to meet you - we hope this sounds fair! Jimena de la Frontera, Andalusia, Spain El estudio is located in the heart of the white village of Jimena de la Frontera From there, you can walk to anywhere for food shopping, a tapas tour (there are about 8 imaginative tapas bars within a 5 mins walk), to the barbershop or to the ruins of the Moorish castle at the top of the village. There are many fantastic walks nearby in the Alcornocales Natural Park - you can see the cork woods and also the acorn eating pigs. Jimena is famed amongst trekkers, bird watcher, and horse riders, from all around the world. Step back in time and enjoy your stay in one of the most beautiful pueblos blancos in Andalusia. Parking is easy with a spots available in the street or around the corner at the free public car park. You can get a taxi easily from Gibraltar airport and if you're happy to stay in the village you won't need a car. Alternatively, for longer stays, you might want to hire a car. It takes 2 hours from Malaga airport and about 40 mins from Gibraltar. In Jimena, head for Calle Larga and park very nearby.
