San Cristóbal de La Laguna (known as "La Laguna" by the locals) is a Unesco World Heritage site city and arguably one of the most beautiful towns in the Canary Islands. The apartment is located on Avenida Trinidad, the university quarter of the city, surrounded by great bars, cafes, takeaway places and restaurants, excellent transport links and it's only a 5-minute walk to the old town. The old town is laid out in a grid-format and the narrow cobbled streets are full of independent shops, restaurants and bars to explore. La Laguna is surrounded by beautiful and ancient hiking trails such as the Cruz del Carmen – Chinamada – Punta del Hidalgo hike and the beautiful ancient Mercedes forest in the Anaga mountains. The beautiful black sand beach of Playa la Nea is a short 15 minutes drive away, Radazul seafront - famous for diving and snorkelling - is also 15 minutes drive away and Playa de las Teresitas is 25 minutes' drive away.
